Recommended for students who want intellectual as well as physical understanding of posture and vinyasa. Movement patterns (vinyasa) are deconstructed, and principles of anatomy and movement are tested and practiced for accuracy, safety, and grace. Ideal for yoga teachers, those wanting to teach yoga, other movement professionals, or students wishing depth and knowledge in their practice.
Prerequisites: Three years yoga practice, a fundamental understanding of head and shoulder stand, alignment and breath technique required, along with a sense of humor.
Taj Yoga is part of a thriving movement community located within the old Crown Hill Elementary School building. In a joyous "crossover," the yoga teacher is taking class down the hall with the Wassa Dance teacher, the ballet kids want to take yoga, and the custodian is studying Flamenco!.
