Theresa Elliott

"I love to move, and I love precision. It’s just that simple. Whether in stationary balance, spinning a hoop, or bolted to a platform, the state of being generated in me by these seemingly different activities is the same. Stillness and motion. They are two sides of the same coin, and presence doesn’t care if you are doing asana or Argentine Tango." Read More...

Kathleen Meehan Lorenzo

Kathleen's yoga teaching is rooted in her belief that anyone can do yoga and that all bodies are yoga bodies. She helps her students meet themselves where they are in the present moment and encourages them to employ safe movement and awareness. She invites students to include a sense of physical and mental challenge to their practice. Kathleen’s focus on anatomy and alignment is motivated by her continued curiosity about the human body and how it works. She is fascinated by the inherent connection between the body and the mind and how the practice of yoga strengthens that connection. She continues to study with Theresa Elliott and is a graduate of the Pacific Yoga 500 hour Advanced Studies program.

Kathleen regularly teaches in partnership with Robin Werner. Their combined studies and shared interest in alignment based asana practice brings two keen perspectives to their classes.

Eron Hennessy

Eron Hennessy
I’ve been moving and learning about movement since before my birth, but have always enjoyed movement arts and expression as far back as I can remember. As a child, I studied ballet, learned folk-dances, and later, practiced martial arts, beginning with Tae Kwon Do in 1985 and continuing with Hung Gar kung fu, which I taught from 1992-2003.  Insatiably curious and seeking more depth, I formally studied the arts of Wah Lum Pai and Aikido and have continued to improve my own understanding by practice with martial artists from both traditional and non-traditional disciplines.

Drawing on the synthesis of my experience, I offer classes in Martial Movement, an accessible yet effective form of martial arts. Martial arts practice, I feel, is critically important in developing the Warrior archetype that exists within us. Kinesthesis refers to physical learning, and while teaching effective self-defense, I also encourage students to explore and learn from the physical experience of inhabiting their Warrior aspect to cultivate will, discipline, awareness, presence and sincerity—qualities that are inextricably linked with this archetype. My classes combine meditation, stretching and conditioning exercises, comprehensive study of practical self-defense techniques and the practice of traditional forms (also known as kata).
